Marvin "Marv" Wayne Retterath, 82, a long time rancher in Merrill and former 4-H Beef Club Leader, died Wed., Oct. 15, 2002 in Klamath Falls. Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Millie; daughter and son-in-law Janie and Kirk Kirkpatrick of Malin and daughter Margie Retterath of Klamath Falls; brother and sister-in-law John B. and Elaine Retterath of Bonanza, grandchildren Devon and Neil Kirkpatrick of Malin; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. His parents George and Nell Retterath, preceded him in death. Funeral services in honor of Marv's life will be held Sunday, October 20 in O'Hair and Riggs Funeral Chapel at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Duane "Dewey" Bodtker officiating. Masonic honors will be officiated by Gary Reardon of Crater Lake Masonic Lodge. Private interment will be at the Merrill I.O.O.F. Cemetery. The family suggests contributions in Marv's memory be made to Basin Ambulance Service, P.O. Box 284, Malin, OR 97632, or to Klamath County 4-H, 3328 Vandenberg Rd., Klamath Falls, OR 97603.
