New London, NH - Alice G. (Sheldon) Robart, 94, of Hilltop Place died at her home on Tuesday, September 16, 2008. Mrs. Robart was born in Melrose, MA on Nov. 14, 1913 the daughter of Carlos and Louise (Slayton) Sheldon. She graduated from Brookline, MA High School in 1931 and attended Smith College. Mrs. Robart had lived in New London since 1974 previously residing in Newton, MA for many years. She was a member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in New London and enjoyed needlepoint. She assisted in crafting the needlepoint artwork on the kneeling pillows in St. Andrew's. She was predeceased by her brother, Fremont Sheldon.
Members of her family surviving include her husband of 73 years, Winslow H. Robart of New London; a daughter, Melinda Ryder of West Townsend, MA; three sons, Willard H. Robart of West Orange, NJ, Chester W. Robart of Epping, NH and Ralph S. Robart of Newton, MA; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren; a sister, Jean S. Bryant of Baltimore, MD; nieces, nephews and cousins. Private memorial services will be held at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church with urn burial in the Kelsey Memorial Garden.
