She was born March 11, 1899 in Montpelier, to William and Emma Larsen Irving. She attended schools in Montpelier. She married Berton E. Stephens June 20, 1917, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She was an active member of the LDS Church, having served as Primary president for 14 years, Relief Society president for 15 years, as well as teaching in the Sunday School and MIA.
She was a member of and served as an officer of the Mary Ann Burgoyne Camp of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers.
Funeral services were noon Tuesday in the Montpelier Third Ward Chapel.
Burial was in the Montpelier City Cemetery.
