Mrs. Lida Roberts Knapp, age 68 years, died this morning at 7 o'clock at the family home on North Washington street, following a years' illness of heart trouble.
She was born in West Virginia, and came to Porter county when a young girl. In 1893 she was united in marriage to Merton L. Knapp.
Surviving are the husband, two sons, Earl of Valparaiso, and Roy, of Harvey, Ill., and one daughter, Mrs. Florence Auck, of Chicago. The latter has been here caring for her mother for some time. Also surviving is one brother, John Roberts, of Ohio.
Memorial services will be held Saturday morning at 10 o'clock, daylight savings time, at the Frank A. LePell & Son funeral home on Monroe street, conducted by Rev. Robert L. Ryerse, of the Baptist church. Burial will be in Kimball cemetery, north of Valparaiso.
Friends may call at the LePell funeral home from Friday noon up until time of the services.
