Mrs. Fevurly died Friday, October 26, 2018 at her home surrounded by family. She was born May 31, 1927 in Atchison, Kansas, the daughter of Earl Barnett and Ida Mable (Albin) Ball.
She graduated from Tonganoxie High School in 1944 and began teaching in a one room school house. On January 1, 1946, she married Ralph Junior Fevurly at the Tonganoxie Methodist Church. She was a member of Lakeview United Methodist Church and a former member of the Jarbalo United Methodist Church in Kansas.
Florence was an amazing mother, sister and grandmother who role-modeled how to love others, how to have strong faith and how to be a good person. She was a life-long learner who enjoyed reading, playing cards/board games, playing basketball and softball, walking in the swimming pool and sharing her faith with others.
Florence was preceded in death by her beloved husband Junior and sons Jimmy and Tommy.
Survivors include Richard and Debbie Fevurly of Parker, Arizona; John and Jana Fevurly of Scottsdale, Arizona; sister Evelyn Tomson of Huntington Beach, California; eight grandchildren and seven great grandkids. For 50+ years, Florence educated herself about diabetes and successfully managed her disease.
The family suggests memorial donations in her honor to the American Diabetes Association. Graveside services are planned for July 2019 at Fall Creek Cemetery in Jarbalo, Kansas.
