Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Myrna Ault Adamson, left us much too soon on September 15, 2008 after a courageous battle with Cancer.
She was born in American Fork, Utah on Thanksgiving Day, November 21, 1936 to Clyde Henry Ault and Pearl Pierce Ault. She was the youngest of three daughters. She attended American Fork High School and was a member of the marching band and was class secretary. She graduated in Business Education from BYU in only three years and later received a degree in Elementary Education. She taught first grade, third grade and kindergarten for more than 20 years. She loved teaching and was a wonderful influence on many young children's lives. She always taught the importance of a good education. She married her eternal companion, David Laury Adamson, in the Logan Temple on June 26, 1964. After retiring from teaching she was very active in the Daughters of Utah Pioneers for many years, and served as a leader in the Big Cottonwood Camp. She had a great love for genealogy and family history, and could tell family history stories from many generations. With that love for family history she had a true devotion to and love for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She devoted her entire life to her family. She was there for them every hour of every day whenever they needed her. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many different positions in the church. She was a truly loving person and will be missed greatly by her family.
She is survived by her devoted husband, David; son, Bryan (Michelle), Taylorsville; Greg (Sandy), Sandy; daughters, Kimberly, West Jordan; Stacey (Ron), Fredrick, MD; grandchildren, Lindsey (Howard), Nathan (Hayley), Jessica, Corey, Clinton, Amber, Kirstine, Korbin, Laura, Kaylie, Amanda and Matthew; great grandchildren, Carlie and Derek; sister, Marilyn; many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Pearl; and sister, Doris.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, Septtember 1, 2008 at the Cottonwood First Ward Chapel, 5913 South Highland Drive at 11 a.m. There will be a viewing held on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 South State Street and again on Friday from 10-10:45 a.m. at the Church.
Interment: Larkin Sunset Gardens.
