"George W. Hale, 75, of 1600 Ave. No, died Wednesday afternoon at Lutheran Hospital following a short illness.
Services are pending at Bruces Funeral Home where friends may call after 6 p.m. Thursday.
Surviving are the widow, Helga; a son, Floyd Dwight and a daughter, Mrs. Walter Remington, both of Fort Dodge; six grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Martin Reed, Lehigh.
Mr. Hale was born and reared at Kalo and attended schools of the area. He served with the 34th Division of the U. S. Army during World War 1. On Nov 29, 1922 he married Helga Johnson in Fort Dodge and the couple lived at Coalville until moving to Fort Dodge about 22 years ago. He was employed at the Horn Manufacturing Company, retiring several years ago.
Mr. Hale was a member of American Legion Post 130 of Fort Dodge."
