Elsie Adams Sharp passed away in Riverton, UT on September 12, 2008 at the home of her daughter, Pamela Shipley. She was a long time resident of the Barboursville area and taught school in Cabell County for many years.

Born October 10, 1915 in Douglas, GA. The daughter of John (Son) Adams and Minnie Dora Lott. A Faithful member of the LDS Church, she served in many leadership and teaching positions in the Primary and Relief Society organizations.

Preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Sharp and daughter, June Sharp Grigsby. Survived by her daughters, Pamela (Wayne) Shipley of Riverton, UT, Ninette (Kenneth) Hass of Barboursville, WV, a son, Rex Allen Sharp of Huntington and son-in-law, Jerry Grigsby of Lexington, KY; 14 grandchildren; and 20 great grandchildren. Known for her kind manner, she will be greatly missed.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, September 16th at 2 pm at Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South) in Sandy, Utah with a visitation one hour prior to the services. funeral Services will also be held on Friday, September 19th in the Henson Mortuary, 6357 East Pea Ridge Road, Huntington, West Virginia with a visitation one hour prior to those services.
Interment: Ridgelawn Cemetery.
