A funeral was held at First Baptist Church on July 11, 1954, with Dr. E.L. Smothers, pastor of First Baptist Church, and Dr. James D. Hunter, pastor of First Methodist Church, officiating. Gloria Speak provided soft organ music for the service.
Mrs. Hermann was preceded in death by both of her husbands, her two sons, one daughter, Katie Arie Hermann, and her sister, Arie Anna Watkins Mayo. She was survived by her daughter, Rachel Hermann Caughran, two grandchildren, Rachel Roughton Horton and William Hermann Caughran, and three great grandchildren, Billie Kay, Joseph, and Serena Horton. She was also survived by her nephews, Paul Mayo and C. Edward Mayo, and brothers-in-law, Isadore Hermann, Cecil Hermann, and Herbert Hermann.
