Services Saturday For Robert Akers
Funeral services for Robert E. Akers, 21, of Gary, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the McHugh Funeral Home in Shelburn. The Rev. Shelby Townsend will officiate with burial in Little Flock Cemetery.
Mr. Akers died in Gary Tuesday as a result of injuries sustained in a car-train accident last Sunday.
He is survived by the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Akers, of Gary, former Sullivan County residents, three brothers, Jerry, Donald and James, one sister, Marlene Sue, all at home, and the grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Lex Akers, Sr., of Sullivan.
