Mr. L.D. Brooks age 83 of Crandall, departed this life on Sunday, in Murray Medical Center.
L.D. was preceded in death by his parents, Doke and Pearl Swanson Brooks, and two brothers, Edwin Brooks and "Buddy" Howell Brooks.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Leona Patterson Brooks of Crandall; son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Cathy Brooks of Crandall; daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Don Lawson of Canton.
Grandchildren, Breck and Charlie Pelfrey of Dalton, Michael and Aimee Brooks of Franklin, Ky.; great-grandchildren, Michael and Sara Pelfrey of Dalton.
Sisters and brothers-in-law, Elizabeth Adams of Chatsworth, Beaty and Ivan Cady of Dalton; Zora and Daryl Jackson, and Edna Earl Long, all of Chatsworth; sister-in-law, Christene Brooks Satterfield of Chatsworth, and Lavalda Brooks of Savannah.
Funeral services were on Tuesday in the Chapel of Peeples Funeral Home of Chatsworth with the Rev. Tony Patterson and the Rev. Crafton Dover officiating.
