She was a member of Home Land Baptist Church. She loved to sew and could often be found sitting on her front porch.
She never had children but her nine nieces and nephews were her little kids.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Darrell Jackson; parents, Leonard "Doke" and Pearl Swanson Brooks; sisters, Edna Earl Long and Elizabeth Adams; brothers, L.D. Brooks, Edwin Brooks, and Howell "Buddy" Brooks; nephew, Wayne Adams; brother-in-law, Ivan Cady; sister-in-law, Levalde Brooks.
Survivors include her sister, Beatrice "Bea" Cady of Dalton; special nieces and nephews, Sharon Lawson, Barbara Boatwright, Billy Brooks, Butch Brooks, Dale Adams, Mitchell Brooks, Jeffery Brooks, and Brooks Cady;
Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Zora Jean Jackson will be held Monday, March 7, 2022 at 3:00pm from the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with the Rev. Harold Poteet officiating. Interment will follow in Cool Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
