Carrie Smith, Ex-Registrar. Carrie Robinson Smith, 85, a former registrar of the now defunct U. S. College of Veterinary Surgeons here, died Sunday at the Pineview Gardens Nursing Home in Clinton, MD. Mrs. Smith was the daughter of Washington's first official D.C. veterinarian, and the widow of Dr. Mann Page Smith, a veterinarian who was in private practice. Born in West Virginia, she came to Washington with her family in 1888. For years, her home was at 222 C St. NW in a house recently demolished for the center leg of the inner loop freeway and the Labor Department building now under construction. Survivors include two sons, Dr. Edward B., who operates the Anacostia Animal Hospital, and John P., of New York City, and a brother Joseph F. Robinson, of Washington.
