Henry Brunken, 65 retired Monroe farmer, died Tuesday in Genoa Hospital after a six month illness.

Funeral services are set for 10 AM Friday at United Methodist Church, Genoa, with burial in Okay cemetery, The Rev. Mike Conners will officiate. Body will lie in state after 2 PM Thursday at Ramaekers Funeral Home Genoa, and from 8:30 to 10 AM Friday at the church.

Son of the late Friederick and Helena Buhrs Brunken, he was born Aug. 9, 1887 at O;denburg, Germany. Since boyhood he lived in this area, attending School at Humphrey and farming near Monroe until he retired. He was director of the Okay School board for 17 years.

Surviving are his wife the former Ollie Long, Whom he married Sept. 5, 1915; Seven children, Edward of Brownstone PA, Winifred of Genoa, Russell, Everett, Howard, Mrs. Howard (Mildred) Rodgers and Mrs. Alvin (Helen) Lippert, all of Columbus; 20 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son Herman in 1940; two brothers and two sisters.
