Mrs. Lydia Ann Cox, 82, of Independence, died yesterday at the Independence Medical Center. She was born in Woodston, Kan., and moved to Independence 28 years ago from Cedar County, Missouri. Mrs. Cox was a member of the Fairmount Christian Church. She leaves three daughters, Mrs. Ellen F. Lear of the home; Mrs. Myrtle E. Burton, Kansas City; and Mrs. Zula M. Johnson, Independence; a stepson, Lester E. Cox, Sheldon, Mo.; 17 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10 am Thursday at the Carson Independence Chapel and at 2:30 pm Thursday at the graveside in Brasher Cemetery, near Jerico Springs, Mo. Friends may call from 7 to 9 pm tonight at the chapel.
