He was born Sept. 17, 1831 in Union Grove, Coshocton Co., Ohio, son of Moses F. and Elizabeth (Barnes) Barnes. He married Louisa Church, May 3, 1855 in Coshocton Co., Ohio. I do not know where he died but he was in the Civil War. His service record says he Enlisted Feb. 20, 1864 as a Pvt. from Ohio. and Transferred to Company D, Ohio 51st. Infantry Regiment on 10 Dec 1864. Mustered out on 14 Apr 1865 at Shields Mills, TN. His record says he did not survived the War... so not sure how his death date is given as April !4, 1865 when that is given as his muster out date? Mistake? His record also states that he was originally buried at Blue Spring, Tenn. -- Clifford J. Laureno
