Elizabeth Margaret Goff Brown Reed, daughter of Peyton Salathiel and Mary Ann (Holden) Goff, was born 13 Mar 1863 in DeKalb County, Missouri. She married first on 14 Dec 1882 to John H. Brown (b. abt 1859), son of William and Susan (Steelsmith) Brown of Pennsylvania, at the Cameron Methodist Episcopal Church, Cameron, Clinton County, Missouri, by W.H. Welton, pastor. John Brown died in 1891. They had one daughter, Maude Bessie Brown (1884, MO - 1964, CO). She married second on 15 Nov 1893 in DeKalb County, Missouri to John H. Reed (1844-1916), son of William T. and Hannah A. (Kimes)Reed. Elizabeth died at her home in DeKalb County, Missouri on 22 Jan 1899.
