NOTE: This Civil War Union soldier has two memorial pages because he was buried in this cemetery although his tombstone was later erected as a cenotaph in a cemetery iin Monroe County, Kentucky. See Memorial # 223535674 for his cenotaph. There is not a tombstone for him at Mill Springs.

Pvt. Harmon Brown enrolled in Captain George Cram's Company H, Ninth Regiment Kentucky Infantry on October 25, 1861 - age 34. He was mustered in on November 26th, 1861 at Camp Boyle in Columbia, Adair County, Kentucky. War Department Records show that he died December 16, 1861 of 'Disease of the Kidneys'.

The 'Roll of Honor Vol. XVII Page 205' shows him buried here at Mill Springs National Cemetery.

He was still single and living with his parents , John and Sarah Brown, in Monroe County, Kentucky when the 1860 census was enumerated. It appears he remained unmarried and presumably without children until his death.
