4 Nov 1972: Allen R. Stoever, husband of Mary Grumbine Stoever, North Center Street, Fredericksburg, died early this morning in the Lebanon Valley General Hospital where he was a patient for three days. He was 75. Born in Bethel Township, he was a son of the late John Adam and Agnes Sholly Stoever. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Fredericksburg. He was a member of the Fredericksburg Legion Home Association. The Fredericksburg Legion Post 915 was named for a son, Harry Stoever, who was killed in 1944 during World War II. He was a member of the Odd fellows, Washington Camp, and the Fredericksburg, Frystown and Rehrersburg fire companies. Surviving besides his wife, are two daughters, Ada, wife of John E. Gilbert, Fredericksburg, and Eva, wife of Dale E. Richard, Fredericksburg; two sisters, Mrs. Lizzie Strack, West Lawn, and Alice, wife of Charles Meyer, Hershey; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
