Henry Clay was the 8th of 14 children born to Marshall Dennison and Mary Jane Vanderville. He first married Mattie Young and had 7 children with her. After Mattie's death he married Hettie Brown and had 5 more children with her.

Obituary
Henry Clay Dennison, 65 years old, died at his home, Rose and Lyle Avenues, yesterday afternoon at 12:15 o'clock. Funeral services will be held at the home this morning, with prayers at the grave by Elder S.R. Logue.

The following will serve as pallbearers: Dr J.R. McLaughlin, J.J.Rader, M. Bartlett, Prof. David Lipscomb, Thomas H. Ezell, P.M. Matlock, D.B. Evins, and John Robertson.
The following nephews will serve as active pallbearers: W.M. Peal, Ed Shelton, Dudley Dennsion, Dr T. Hugh Young, James Goodman and Palmer Vice.

Next to his wife Mattie Young Dennison (1857- April 11 1902) Lot 118 is not where it would be expected to be. Instead of being next to Lot 117, it is between Lots 60 and 92, towards the back of the lot.
