LaFerne Crouch Chapman, 85, a faithful Christian, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away Friday, Sept. 5, 2008, in Fort Worth.

Funeral: 10 a.m. Monday at the Chapel of Chimes at Laurel Land. Burial: Laurel Land Memorial Park of Fort Worth.

LaFerne was born June 20, 1923, in Grandview.

She married L. B. Chapman Aug. 23, 1947.

She and L. B. loved to travel and spent many hours on the road in their motorhome seeing the country. Ferne and L.B. especially liked to go camping in Colorado in the summertime.

Ferne was a homemaker and loved her family. She was a member of Fossil Creek Church of Christ where she faithfully attended worship services.

She was preceded in death by her husband, L. B.; a brother, Melvin; and a sister, Doris.

Survivors: Daughters, Retta Hayes and husband, Mark, Nancy Minter and husband, Keith, and Donna Marsh and husband, Charles; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandsons.
