Jack Conley Smith, 45, of 522 East Railroad Street, Gulfport, MS., was called home by our Heavenly Father on 19 April 1977. He died peacefully, and unexpectedly, in his sleep, of an Acute Myocardial Infarction.

Jack was born in Indianapolis, IN to Arthur Emile and Eliza Beth (Van Auken) Smith on July 28, 1931. He excelled in his education and graduated, several years early, from High School in Indiana. Jack entered the US Navy as a Machinist/Repair/Fireman. After his discharge he resided in New Orleans and attended LSU. While residing in Louisiana, he met and, fell in love with, June Mary Carpenter of New Orleans LA, they married in 1954. And, he became the proud father of five daughters. In 1962 Jack and his family moved to Gulfport, MS where he resided until his death.

Jack loved his family, his country, cars, playing cards, chess and music. He was a member, and always enjoyed dancing, at the Arthur Murray Dance Club.

He was survived, and deeply missed, by his daughters, Belinda Ann Smith (Ryle) and Kyzmi Rose Smith (Allen) of Long Beach, MS; Cynthia Lucinda Smith of Kiln MS; Gwendolyn Jean Smith (Arnold) and Charlotte Roxann Smith of Gulfport, MS; Mother, Eliza Beth,of Gulfport, MS; Sister, Virginia Stevens of Indiana; granddaughter Amanda Denise; and many nieces and nephews

He was proceeded in death by his Father, Arthur and brother LeRoy Rosemeyer.

He will be Laid to Rest in the Biloxi, MS Veterans National Memorial Cemetery in April 1977, with a full Military Service.
