Jeanette Earl was born Jeanette W. Parshall, to John and Caroline Louise (Pinch) Parshall, in New York. Her older sister, Emma Bidwell Parshall, was an esteemed acrobatic and aerial performer, under the name Lola. Jeanette joined her, and they were the Earl sisters. Lola acquired other female performers for contortion acts, singing and dancing numbers, serio-comic routines, etc. Jeanette was still doing vaudeville shows in New Orleans before moving to Florida.
