Peter Eckenroth(3) is the son of George Eckroth/Eckenroth/Eckenrode(2). See bio: George Eckroth and Anna Maria/Mary (Neyer/Neier/Neier-in/Noyer/Nigher/)

Please note: He is not to be confused with the John Peter Eckenroth who died in the 1767.

It is unknown to his actual burial at the moment but he was given a Christian burial. The most common known Catholic burial was located at Asperum Collem, on or near Spitzenberg Mountain in Berks County, PA. In Albany township. The other possible place of Burial is Jacob's Union Church in Jacksonville near Leaser Lake. He may even be buried on the farm where Leaser Lake currently stands. He once purchased land from from Daniel Ham (Hamm) which currently is Leaser lake. The purchase of an eight acre tract of land in Lynn Township on January 9th 1818.

Submitter's note: "I strongly suggest he was buried at Jacob's Union cemetery in Jacksonville close by Leaser Lake." (Joseph)

Peter and Rosina had at least three children:

1. Polly (Pollij)brn. 1805-1810
2. Leah brn. about 1811
3. Harriett (Haratta/Harrada) brn./ 1811 and 1815 (1820 and 1830 Censuses, pages 36 and 66). On September 15th 1845, Hariod (Harriet) Eckrod of Mifflin township, Columbia county married George Kirschbach of the same place ("Register of Marriages and Burials 1932-1872", Reveren Isaac Shellhammer, Reformed Minister of Luzerne, Columbia and Schuylkill Counties, PA, Translated March 1963 by Raymond E. Hollenbach, page 14- in possession of Wyoming Historical and Genealogical Society, Wilkesbarre, PA) I beleve this was Harriett Eckroth (4), the younges daughter of Peter and Rosina Eckroth (3) (George 2, John 1). I have nothing further on Peter's descendents. (WK-book, page 281).

Peter in his will it states that his wife is "Rosina".
