Myrtle was the daughter of Sylvanus McNutt and Catherine Hampton McNutt. She married George J. Barnett on 27 Dec 1903. She was the mother of LaVerne, Dymple, and Olene Barnett. Myrt was a seamstress, a housewife, and a Baptist. She lived in Parker County, Texas most of her life, and later in Huntsville, Floresville, Kenedy, Karnes City, and Austin, Texas. She died 29 May 1956 in Austin, and is buried in the Austin Memorial Park Cemetery.
