Mrs. Brandau was born in Groningen, Holland, the daughter of Martin and Bernice Dykstra Eisses. She enjoyed working in her garden and tending to the animals. Surviving are her husband, Howard Brandau, whom she married Sept. 28, 1946, in Goodland, Ind.; three sons and two daughters-in-law, David Brandau of Wisconsin, Ed and Marge Brandau of Frankfort, Fred and Lisa Brandau of Palos Heights; one daughter and son-in-law, Doris and Robert Clark of Braidwood; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; one sister, Elsie Langland of Fayette, Mo.; and two brothers and sisters-in-law, Hubert and Josephine Eisses of Summit, and Henry and Janice Eisses of New Lenox. Deceased are one daughter-in-law, Sharon Brandau; and one brother-in-law, John Langland.
