Last rites were held for Orin Jacobson on Monday, October 29, at 1:30PM in the Spruce Grove Apostolic Lutheran Church with Rev. George Wilson of New York Mills officiating.

Mr Jacobson was born on May 11, 1900 in Osceola, Michigan. He suffered a heart attack on Tuesday, October 23 and was taken to St Joseph's Hospital where he succumbed to a second attack on Wednesday. He had reached the age of 62 years, 5 months and 13 days at the time of his death.

Mr Jacobson and Elina Koskela were married on October 23, 1926. She and 3 sons and 4 daughters are the immediate survivors. They are Chesley of Buhl, Minnesota, Morris of Benson and George of Kinney; Mrs. Wayne Morlan (Alice) of Bramerhaven, Germany; Mrs Wayne Schumacker (Katherine) of Cohasset; Mrs Arlene Smith of Menahga and Mrs Maynard Tinquist (Claire) of Walback, Nebraska. There are 14 grand children and 2 brothers, Peter of Menahga and Richard of Wheaton, North Dakota and 2 sisters, Mrs Minnie Keksie of Brush Prairie, Washington and Mrs Arthur Peterson of Menahga. All of the above with the exception of Mrs Keksie were at the services, as were Mr and Mrs George Pukari of Thief River Falls.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Lucille, one sister and one brother.

Mrs Elsie Aho and Walter Koskela were the singers at the service and Hazel Hendrickson was the organist.

The pallbearers were Art Gustafson, Reino Makinen, Hugo Kangas, Wilbert Keranen, Vernon Kimball and John Keranen. Interment was in Koskela Cemetery at Wolf Lake.
