Ralph W. Armstrong was born Nov. 9, 1882, and died from injuries received at school, Nov. 25, 1897, after most severe suffering. While playing blackman at school he and Charley Zutt a schoolmate, ran against each other, the knee of his associate striking him in the abdomen with such force to cause an internal rupture of some of the vital organs.... The parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Armstrong .... the burial took place at the Holton cemetery.
