Bertha L. Bloodworth, 89, passed away on Thursday, August 28, 2008 at 4:30 A.M. at her home in Marion.

Bertha was born January 7, 1919 in Marion the daughter of Samuel & Minnie (Kelley) Cash. She married Lawrence Bloodworth on November 26, 1938 and together they have shared over 69 years of marriage.

Bertha started to work for W.T. Grant when it first opened and continued working there until it closed. She then went to work for Wal-Mart until her retirement at age 62. She was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by her:
Husband – Lawrence of Marion
Daughter – Diana Etheridge of Marion
Grandchildren;
Sheri Richey of Tallahassee, Florida
Jennifer Etheridge of Tallahassee, Florida
Great Grandchild – Tyler Richey of Tallahassee, Florida
Sister – Anna Mae Dodds of Marion

Preceded by – Parents, Four Sisters – Marie Russell, Dimple Rodgers, Mary Eva Askew and Myrtle Harper.

Graveside services will be Saturday, August 30 at 2:00 P.M. at Cana Cemetery in Goreville with Bertha's nephew Lee Rodgers officiating.
