Services for Owen J. Roper, 83, a retired farmer and 60-year Mason, were held yesterday at Hansen Mortuary. Additional services and burial will be in Hobart, Ind.
Mr. Roper died Friday at home, 9810 N. Fourth Ave. He was born in Hobart, where he had once served as mayor, before coming here 18 years ago.
Survivors include his wife, Blanche; one son, Jarvis H. of Hobart; two daughters, Mrs. Phyllis Noleware of Dallas and Mrs. Shirley Gradle of Bethesda, Md.; two sisters out of state; 13 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
