Cecil Seago, 72, of Amarillo died Sunday, Aug. 24, 2008.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in North Amarillo Church of Christ with Glen Walton, minister of Bell Avenue Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by Blackburn-Shaw Martin Road Chapel, 1505 Martin Road.

Cecil was born June 7, 1936, in Hartley, to Cecil and Helen Seago. Cecil was raised in Lela and graduated from high school in Hollis, Okla. On Dec. 25, 1954, he married Mary Hollingsworth and moved to Amarillo in 1955. He loved flying, playing golf and fishing.

Cecil worked for SPS for 36 years, where he retired. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and will be missed by all who knew him.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Seago; two sons, Greg Seago and wife Gina and Rodney Seago and wife Darlene of Tulsa, Okla.; a daughter, Cindy Latham and husband Tommy of Amarillo; a brother, William Seago and wife JoAn of Borger; a sister, Carolyn Pigg and husband Wayne of Virginia; eight grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to BSA Hospice, P.O. Box 950, Amarillo, TX 79105.
