Jack Haley,son of Lillian(McChesney) and Clifford Floyd Haley, was born Sept. 5,1927,in Douglas Township, Carbon,Iowa. He died April 10,2002,at St.Joseph Hospital in Omaha,Neb. He worked for EverReady Co. in RedOak for 36 years as a production worker. He also farmed northwest of Carbon and on his father's land near Mount Etna. He retired in 1991. He was a lifetime resident of Carbon and a member of the Strand Lutheran Church.
Survivors include a daughter,Jackie(Bryce)VanHouten; 3 sons, Roger(Vicki),Ramon(Pam)and Doug(Linda)Haley;3 sisters, Lois Wilkinson, Twyla Dicks, and Delores(Ron)Jackson; 14 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 sons,Virgil Floyd Haley Jr. and Clifford Haley; and 2 brothers-in-law,Junior Wilkinson and Victor Dicks.
