Doris L. Treiber, age 69, of rural Danbury, died Tuesday, May 15, 1990 at an Onawa hospital after a short illness.

Services were at 11:00 a.m. Friday at St. May's Catholic Church in Danbury, with the Rev. James Tigges officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Visitation began after 2:00 p.m. Thursday with a vigil service at 7:30 p.m. at the Walter Funeral Home in Mapleton.

Mrs. Treiber, the former Doris Boeche, was born July 24, 1920 to Louis and Mary (Uhl) Boeche at Mapleton. She married Virgil Treiber December 19, 1940 at South Sioux City, Nebraska. They lived on a farm in the Danbury community all their married lives.

She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and two sisters.

Survivors include her husband of Danbury, a son, Russell of Danbury and two grandchildren, Amy and Tony Treiber, both of Danbury.

Pallbearers were Dick Schimmer, John Treiber, Wayne Ortner, Johnny Christophersen, Paul Wolterman and Steve Cloud.
