Our loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, Marjorie Steed Zesiger went peacefully home to her Heavenly Father on August 22, 2008, to be reunited with her loving husband, Fred Hardy Zesiger.

Marjorie was born November 5, 1916 in Salt Lake City, Utah to William and Mary Smith Steed. Mother lived most of her life in the Centerville, West Bountiful, and Bountiful areas. She married Fred Hardy Zesiger on September 1, 1938 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Their eternal family was blessed with four children, Don (Dorothy), Harold (Gail), Dell (Carole), and Mary (Mark Jensen). Mother was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and devoted her life serving in many callings, which included serving as a temple worker in the Salt Lake Temple and completing two honorable missions, the first to the Washington D.C. Temple and the second to the Sydney Australia Temple. Mother was never afraid of hard work. She worked right along with Dad no matter the project. She also worked for the Davis School District for 21 years. Mom was a woman of faith, love, charity, and integrity. Her life has exemplified these values and qualities. She was grateful to her Heavenly Father for her family and all those who showed her love. She expressed that gratitude constantly thru prayer. Mother said the greatest influence in her life was her own mother, we can say the same of our mother. Her example will live on as her posterity builds on the foundation she has laid for them. Her testimony of the Savior and faith in her Heavenly Father grew stronger thru the years. When Mom was asked what she would change, she said, "not one thing."

Mom is survived by her four loving children and their spouses, her devoted brother, Lowell (Marjean), sister-in-law, Esma Steed, 14 grandchildren, and 31 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a brother, Stuart Steed, and a grandson, Craig Zesiger.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 27, 2008 at the West Bountiful 3rd Ward Chapel, 840 North 800 West, West Bountiful. Friends and Family may call on Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main Street and on Wednesday morning from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to services.
Interment: Lakeview Memorial Estates Cemetery.
