He is survived by his wife, Clara Mae Lovelace Varner, of Loretto, TN. Four daughters, Martha Gobbell of Lawrenceburg, TN, Linda Carol Newton of Lawrenceburg, TN, Teresa Mattox of Loretto, TN and Nancy Smith of Loretto, TN. Two sons, Wayne Varner of Lawrenceburg, TN and Donald Varner of Leoma, TN. Two sisters, Mary Sue Johnson of Prattville, AL and Bonnie Mae Ellis of Brewton, AL. Four brothers, James S. Varner of Andalusia, AL, Jack Varner of Denver, CO, Billy Wayne Warner of Repton, AL and Randall Varner of Castleberry, AL. Fourteen grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 2:00 PM Sunday, Mar. 23, 2008, with Bro. Ed Lopp
officiating. Interment followed at Stutts Cemetery in Lauderdale Co., AL. Neal Funeral Home, Lawrenceburg, TN, was in charge of arrangements.
