Stewart Lee Alley was born August 21, 1936 in Tazewell, VA, the son of Robert Lee and Pauline (Dotson) Alley.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the 101st Airborne.
Mr. Alley married Janet Marie Mienkwic on August 9, 1974.
He was a meat cutter for several stores in the Flint, Michigan, area and took great pride in his trade. Mr. Alley enjoyed the outdoors but mostly he enjoyed his grandchildren.
Mr. Alley, a resident of Flint, Michigan, died August 20, 2008 at home at the age of 71.

Susan (David) Pecyna and children, Sam, Anna and Brian, Trish Hyde (Brian McLaughlin) and children, Anthony, Shaun and April, Laura Murray (Dan Delong) and daughter, Cassie, Jennifer (Paul) Kotwicki and daughter, Isadora, Melinda Alley (Jay Anderson) and children, Aniesa, Brittany, Caleb, Logan, and Anthony; great-granddaughter, McKenna; brother, Donald Alley of MD; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by: his parents and two brothers, Robert and Jimmy Alley.
