Mrs. Ella Chilcote Rinehart, wife of William F. Rinehart of Broad Top City, died at her home on Friday, September 23, 1949, at 11:45 p.m. Death was due to a heart condition. She had been in failing health for several years. She was born on February 4, 1873, in Coles Valley, a daughter of Isaac and Palentena (Black) Chilcote.

At the time of her death, she was aged 76 years, 7 months and 19 days.

On April 22, 1897, she was united in marriage to William Rinehart in Shore Valley.

The deceased was a member of the Broad Top City Methodist Church.

Surviving are three sons, Clyde, Robertsdale and Harry and Merle, Broad Top City, two sisters, Mrs. Thomas Morgan of Canton, Ohio, and Mrs. Louie Watkins of Robertsdale, R.D. and two brothers, Frank Chilcote, Todd and Martin Chilcote, Robertsdale, R.D. Thirteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Monday at 2:30 at the Broad Top Methodist Church in charge of the Rev. O.R. Williams. Interment will be made in the Broad Top I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Friends may call at the McClain funeral home in Cassville after 8 o'clock this evening. The body will be taken to the church at noon Monday and may be viewed there after 12:30 p.m. until time for the services.
