Coalport, PA Feb. 1918
Whereas I have intrusted John C. Gates of the city of Harrisburg PA with the sum of Fifteen Hundred Dollars (1500) as shown by his report dated Feb. 14, 1918. Now be it known that he shall account for the said Fifteen Hundred as follows; that is to say he shall retain on hundred dollars ($100) as compensation for his services in caring for said trust fund and the balance, Fourteen Hundred Dollars ($1400) he shall invest in Librety Bonds of the United States, the interest thereon to be paid to me as the same becomes due and payable, also there shall be paid to me out of the amount of said Bonds from time to time, such sum or sums of money as shall be required, and neccessary for my maintenance and care, and the unexpended balance of any thereby remaining of said fund at the time of my death after the payment of the expenses of my funeral which I desire shall be disposed of as follows to wit: To John C. Gates on fourth of all that is left after all expenses are paid, To Will Beers my nephew 50 dollars, To Sara Beers 50 dollars for care of my Mother 50 dollars to my brohter L.H. Beers.

Personally appeared before me, Geo. W. Guilch D. of Register of Wills in and for the County aforesaid, William H. Beers and Nannie E. Lightner who being duly sworn according to law did depose and say that they re well acquaintted with the hand writing of Ella Chapple and have seen her write, and that they believe the signature of the said Ella Chapple to the annexed proper writing purporting to be the last will and testament of the said Ella Chapple is in her own proper handwriting.
