John Wilson Ewing was married to Jane Berry Hank (1833-1852). He was the son of Enoch Ewing (1799-1885) and Susannah Radabaugh Ewing (1800-1884). After the death of his first wife, he married Mary Ann Fitzsimmons (1835-1929). John Wilson Ewing was the first of Enoch and Susannah's children to buy land in Michigan. Between 1835 and 1837 John's uncles, Henry and Samuel Radabaugh, started farms on 344 acres in Williams County,Ohio. Returning to Michigan, from Jackson County, Ohio in 1852, when he was 23 years old, he bought a large parcel in Section 20 of Woodbridge Township in Hillsdale County. Adapted from Wallace K.
