Mr. Gerald Felix Griffin, 80, of 219 Fair Oaks Rd., Cedartown died Thursday, July 17, 2008. Mr. Griffin was born in Haralson County on March 13, 1928. He was the son of the late Freddie Griffin and the late Nervie Addison Griffin, a veteran of the United States Army and was retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad. He was preceded in death by sisters, Ethel Griffin, Gladys Griffin and Frances Schriber; brother, Johnny Griffin and Billy Griffin. Surviving are his wife, Frances Wood Griffin of Cedartown; daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Fred Griffin of Orlando, FL; son and daughter-in-law, Brandon and Samantha Griffin of Rockmart; Willie Katherine Bentley of Rainbow City, AL; brothers and sisters-in-law, Marvin and Estelle Griffin of Felton, Norman and Jean Griffin of Cayse, SC and Charles and Ladell Griffin of Carrollton, Gwenelle Griffin of Carrollton; three grandchildren; number of other relatives. The funeral service was conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 19, 2008 from Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel with Danny Hutcheson officiating. Interment was held in the Polk Memory Gardens in Cedartown with Masonic Graveside Rites. Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel of Buchanan had charge of arrangements.
