BIRMINGHAM – John Frank Anderson, a life resident of the Birmingham area, died in Jefferson County hospital, Fairfield, on March 18, six days after his 84th birthday. He had been ill one week.
~Anderson was the son of Levi and Margaret Wharton Anderson, and was born at Kilborune on Mar. 12, 1871. In youth he attended the Wolf academy at Birmingham. He was married to the late Festusina Bonnett. He was a member of the Birmingham Methodist church, the IOOF and the Rebeka lodge.
~Surviving are a son, Frank Anderson Jr., Cedar Rapids, and a daughter, Mrs. Berdena Bagby, of Stockport.
~Also surviving are two brothers and two sisters: Roy Anderson, living in California; Lew Anderson, Keosauqua, and Mrs. Lola Bonnette and Mrs. Ella Nash, both of Chicago; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
~A daughter, a brother and a sister died previously.
~Services will be held at the Birmingham Methodist church at 2 p.m. Monday. The Rev. Glen Lochhead will officiate, and burial will be in Maple Hill cemetery.
~The body is at the Burch-Catcott funeral home.
