George Lester Aase, 76, of Minneapolis, died Friday, August 15, 2008 at Hennepin County Medical Center.

He was born April 14, 1932 in Merton Township, Steele County the son of George and Laura (Christie) Aase. He graduated from Faribault High School and later attended trade school. He was a machinist working for Audio Development Co. and EMR in Minneapolis.

He is survived by his brother, Stanley Aase of Owatonna; sisters, Mabel Sanborn of Kent, Wash., Georgia Vincent of Owatonna, Gladys Chinander of Minneapolis, Marie Ditty of Minneapolis, Jean Aase of Minneapolis and many nieces and nephews.

George was preceded in death by his one sister and two brothers.

Visitation will be at Moland Lutheran Church on Tuesday from 1-2 p.m. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Moland Lutheran Church with The Reverend Nancy Edwardson officiating. Interment will be in the Moland Lutheran Cemetery in Merton Township.
