SALISBURY - Annie Lee Morgan Starnes, 76, of Salisbury, died Thursday, March 9, 2006 at the Brian Center of Salisbury, death was unexpected. She was born Jan. 16, 1930 in Rowan County to the late Carrie Bell Morgan and Harvey Ray Morgan. She was educated in the Rowan County Schools, was a homemaker and a lifelong member of St. Matthew 's Lutheran Church. She is preceded in death by her husband Henry C.P. Starnes on Feb. 22, 2003 whom she married May 1945 and son Jimmy Ray Starnes who died Aug. 30, 2003. Survivors include Bobby Starnes and wife Renee of Salisbury; daughter-in-law Peggy Starnes; Tony Starnes of Salisbury; grandchildren Rena Stanley, Angela Zunk, Sabrina Withbrock, Jessica Starnes, Johnny Sports, Carrie Starnes, Henry Starnes; sisters Rachel Turner, Troy Mills, Betty Peacock, Mary Aldridge all of Salisbury and seven great grandchildren. Service : 2 p.m. Sunday at St. Matthew 's Lutheran Church with the Rev. Gary S. Coble officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation : 1-2 p.m. Sunday at St. Matthew 's Lutheran Church. Memorials : St. Matthew 's Lutheran Church Building Fund, 9275 Bringle Ferry Road, Salisbury, N.C. 28146.
