Also surviving were three sons, Franklin Jr., Collegeville, IN, and James Paul and Michael Richard, both at home; four daughters, Mary Jane, Barbara Anne, Judith Jean, and Elizabeth Kay, all at home; two brothers, Harry, Los Alamos, NM, and Richard, Lake Orion, MI; and four sisters, Mrs. Cecil Bond, Valparaiso, IN, Mrs. Forest Taylor, Pontiac, MI, Mrs. Walter Cooper, Van Wert, and Mrs. Carl Longstreth, Middle Point.
He was employed as a welder at the plant of the New Idea Farm Equipment Company, Coldwater, where he was a trustee of the Local Union 4839, United Steel Workers. He was active in Boy Scout work and a member of the Church of the Immaculate Conception.
Funeral services were held at the church, with Rev. Marcellus Fortman officiating.
