Emma M. Price Last Rites Held Wednesday
Funeral services for Emma M. [Millie Barker] Price, 86, of Gravity, were held Wed., Jan. 21, at the Gravity United Methodist Church. Mrs. Price died January 18, 1976, in Bedford Manor Nursing Home. Interment was at Washington Cemetery, Gravity. She was born in Montgomery County, Iowa, March 3, 1889.

Emma Millie Price, daughter of Joseph Carey and Ida Ramalia Barker, was born in Montgomery County, Iowa, March 3, 1889.
She was united in marriage to Oren Henry Price on June 24, 1906, at her parents' home. To this union was born one son, Ralph Oren.
Until 1944 they farmed northwest of Gravity. The rest of their married life, except for the years when they worked in Glenwood, was spent in the Gravity community.
She was a member of the Methodist Church. Her faith and church were the staff of her life. She served as church secretary and held various offices in the Women's Society. She was a member of the Royal Neighbors of America for over 50 years and a member of Eastern Star until her health failed. She held all offices in both organizations and was a good community worker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, father, mother, brothers, Lewis, Otis, Clint and Mark Barker and one sister, Roxa Laird.
