Henrietta Baird was born at Pleasant Gap, Pa, April 15, 1853 and fell asleep at the family residence at Prairie Home, Illinois, Feb 17, 1916 in the 63 year of her age. With her parents, John and Hannah Baird, she removed to Prairie Home in 1866 and resided here the remainder of her life. The cause of death was a tumor of the brain.
On the 28th of Jan, 1883 she witnessed the good confession of her faith in Christ and was received in to the Prairie Home Presbyterian church in which she continued a faithful and consist and member until called to her reward.
Her marriage to John Harris Baird was celebrated on the Fifth of April following. To them were born two children, DeForest Elliott and Mary Alma, who with their father were permitted to minister to their loved one in her last illness.Of her immediate family there remain two sisters, Mrs. S. E. McClelland of Decatur and Mrs.George W. McClelland of Moweaqua, their two brothers and a sister dying in childhood.

Henrietta Baird and John Harris Baird were first cousins once removed.

John Harris Baird and Henrietta'a father John Baird both have grandparents William Baird and Nancy Harbison Baird.
