Gertrude Pauline Lehmann was baptized November 10, 1912, by Pastor C. Wolff at St. Paul's Evangelical & Reformed Church in Gerald, Texas. Her baptismal sponsors were Ernst Lehmann and Karoline Nahrgang. Gertrude Lehmann was confirmed April 10, 1927, by Pastor J. Meiller at St. Paul's Evangelical & Reformed Church (now St. Paul's United Church of Christ) in Gerald, Texas.
Gertie married Gus C. Drews on Nov. 7, 1929, and they were the parents of three sons and one daughter.
After the death of Gus in 1965, Gertie married Monroe Jahnke on Feb. 25, 1967. They divorced in 1969, and Gertie married Alex Drews on March 4, 1970.

Gertrude Pauline Drews, age 85 of West, passed away late Tuesday evening, May 6, 1997 at West Rest Haven.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. May 9 at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Gerald, with Dr. Jack McKinney officiating. Burial followed at Gerald Cemetery near Gerald.
Mrs. Drews was born October 7, 1911 in Elk, the daughter of Paul and Mamie Lehmann. She married Gus C. Drews on November 7, 1929 in Gerald. He preceded her in death on March 11, 1965. She then married Alex J. Drews on March 4, 1970 in Gerald. She attended schools in Ross. She was a homemaker and a housewife. She also worked as a seamstress for several local companies including Lorch Manufacturing in West.
She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Gerald most of her life where she was active in the Women's Guild and formerly served as a secretary. She was an avid domino player and enjoyed fishing.
She is preceded in death by a son, Leon Drews, who died on March 2, 1956.
She is survived by her husband, Alex J. Drews of West; two sons, Marvin Drews of Plano and Wayne Drews of Paris, France; one daughter, Mary Drews of Waco; one brother, Paul Lehmann of West; four sisters, Hattie Leuschner and Bertha Dawson of Waco, Clara Wedeking of Big Sandy, and Minnie Spurgeon of Prairie Hill; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Active pallbearers were Emil Bluhm, Bill Mangrum, Marvin Drews, Greg Drews, Eric Drews, Alan Shoemaker, Larry Drews, and Bennie Monthie.
Memorials may be made to St. Paul's United Church of Christ or Gerald Cemetery.
