PRICE - Arthur Abia Clegg, age 87, passed away Jan 17, 2004 in Price.
He was born Dec. 4, 1916 in Elmo to Walter and Evie Clegg. He married Rhoda Truman Jan. 16, 1939 in Salt Lake City. Later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple.
He served in the U.S. Army during World Ward II.
He worked hard all his life as an auto mechanic, welder and coal miner. He enjoyed playing pool, hunting and fishing. He also loved socializing at the post office.
He was a high priest in the LDS Church and a resident of Emery County for 85 years.
He is the loving father of Joan (Jim) Wall of Mapleton; Janice (Dave) Price of Price; Linda (Gary) Hess of Las Vegas, Nev.; Arthur Spencer (Hilda) Clegg of Glendale, Ariz.; and JoyLynn (Larry) Palmer of Henderson, Nev.; 18 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by wife, Rhoda; parents; and 11 brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, Jan. 21, noon in the Huntington 1st LDS Ward Chapel, where friends may call from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. prior to services. Burial, Huntington City Cemetery under the direction of Fausett Mortuary.
