Waynedale Apartment Owner Dies

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Waynedale Methodist Church for Forest R. May, 78, of 3018 MacArthur Drive who died at 9:15 a.m. yesterday in the Lutheran Hospital, where he had been a patient 10 days. He had been in ill health seven months.

A native of Zanesville, he lived in Fort Wayne area 54 years and was the owner of the El May Apartments, Waynedale. Mr. May was a member of the Waynedale Methodist Church, a charter member of the Waynedale Lions Club, and a member of the Waynedale Methodist Men's Club.

Survivors include his wife, Ella; two sons, William and Ronald; three daughters, Mrs. Waldo Seaman, Mrs. Russell Poorman, and Mrs. Karl McOmber; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren, all of Fort Wayne.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at the Elzey Home for Funerals, Waynedale, until 1 p.m. Sunday when the body will be taken to the church until time of services. Rev. C. Raymond Earle and Rev. Phill Stephens will officiate at the services.

Burial will be in Prairie Grove Cemetery.
The family requests that memorials be gifts to the Waynedale Methodist Church building fund.
