She inherited the Fox Tavern in Colrain from her sister Pamelia Avery Fox. It remained in the family until 1920.
At her death at age 102, she was the last surviving true Daughter of the American Revolution in the Dorothy Quincy Hancock Chapter of the D.A.R.
